Hello everyone, and welcome to this new version of Naturally Yours. I hope we can continue to communicate with each other through this new format. I'll continue to share with you what interests me, what I see in "my neck of the woods", my thoughts, etc., and I hope you will do the same.
My daffodils are beginning to open as I sit here writing....at long last! I heard a red-bellied woodpecker drumming on our big wild cherry tree yesterday morning, the swamp cabbage is up, my pansies are blooming away, and I even had the air conditioning on in my car yesterday. Spring is finally springing!
Tonight and tomorrow night look like promising times to look for the International Space Station to pass overhead. From about 7:48 - 7:53 tonight (Friday) it will be passing from the Northwest to the East Southeast, and tomorrow (Saturday) it will pass from the West Northwest to the South Southeast at about 8:13 - 8:17. If the skies are as clear as they have been, both should be good, clear sightings.
It you stop by this site for a visit, please leave a comment so that I know that you are able to view this blog. I'll "talk" to you again soon, so bye-bye for now!.....Sue

One bluebird here today.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Susan. I'm so happy you got your Blog up and running so quickly! Hope you've been getting the "notes" I've been sending to you in the mail.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing Naturally Yours in print!

Hi Susan, I miss you on the radio, but enjoy reading this blog. It seems like summer is here but it will only be 61 tomorrow I heard. I like this weather. My peas and fava beens are coming up and onions too. The peach trees are loaded with pink. I want to plant my tomatos now too. I wonder if it's too early. I see lettuce has been planted and the fields are being plowed. There must have been some martin sightings and I wonder about hummers. I can see the eagles white head on one of the nests on my mail route. Those eggs should hatch any day now I think. I miss hearing all the nature news and places to visit. The azaleas should be blooming soon. I can see some bud color on some of them. Again, I miss you Susan and happy spring. Lorraine M
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I think this time I will have success in reaching your Naturally Yours Blog. I am going outside on this beautiful sunny day and pick some bouquets of Lilacs. The beautiful aroma is so uplifting in our home when I bring them in. Don't want them to go away too soon, just like the Daffadils. Still have lots of bright red tulips that I planted in the Fall. So glad you have starte this Blog, as I get excited when I see amazing things in Nature, and Miss calling up and talking to you on the phone, and over the air so we can share with others as well. Thanks for doing this for all of us! God Bless! Marion
ReplyDeleteDear Susan, Well, I went out to check our Bluebird houses today, and found 6 lovely Bluebird eggs in one of them. Sooo precious! All the birds are getting the fever now and anxious to build. I am sending a poem. Thought maybe you might enjoy/
ReplyDeleteA Spring Surprise
Didn't I just go outside
to sweep our steps today?
Yet when I passed that way again
I saw some straw and hay
A couple little pieces
dropped at random there
And in another corner
A wad of human hair
There's something goin on out here
I whispered to myself
Stuff on the floor, right near the door
And dried grass on a shelf
Should someone play a joke on me
I'd like to catch that guy!
I'll go inside and then sneak out
To keep a watchful eye
Then came the very culprit
That I waited here to see
A Robin came from nowhere
And was looking right at me
Right then I knew the answer
I finally found the sneak
It was Ma Ma Robin Redbreast
With Her loaded Straw-filled beak
It kinda struck me funny
To watch her flying around
She couldn't even make a peep, with
That stuff all hangin down
Why She was so exited
She never took a rest
That day that She decided
Right here---to build Her Nest!
